Returns, Refunds and Replacement Policy
As each and every card we dispatch is either hand made, hand painted or customised then each card produced by our team can vary slightly.
Should you feel that the card received does not accurately represent the image displayed on the website that was purchased, please return the card with a small explanation and we will gladly issue a refund where there is an obvious misrepresentation.
Should you require a refund please return the order in the same method and condition it was dispatched and upon receipt of the order a refund will be processed the same day. Please note with some banks it can take up to five working days for the refunded sum to appear on your account.
We strongly advise that for any returned orders a proof of posting is obtained or better still a signed for document established.
Should you desire a replacement for your order, please return your order to us and we will send out your chosen replacement.
Please note, should desire a replacement due to ordering the wrong card, spelling a word incorrectly or simply changing your mind, postage fees will apply as though a new order has been placed.
We will do our absolute best in the situation where we feel that a word may be spelled incorrectly to check with you that the order you placed is the order you desire, however as time is of the essence and as we appreciate that people have a unique way of expressing themselves; should we not be able to contact you is good time we will dispatch the requested order.
If a card is being returned due to an incorrect spelling on the customers behalf, we can correct the order at half the cost of the original card and again the cost of posting will be incurred to the customer.
Delivery Policy
Any order received will be dispatched within 24 hours of receipt of the order. The dispatch date is not the same as the delivery date. The dispatch date is the date we posted the order and the delivery date is the date the order is received by the customer.
All orders received are posted via first class using Royal Mail. Any other postal methods, such as special or recorded delivery can be used but they will incur extra cost.
It is estimated that 90% of all items posted using first class arrive the next working day the remaining 10% can take up to three working days, therefore we advise that you allow three working days for a card to arrive to be on the safe side.
Export Restrictions
At present Open The Envelope! only post within the United Kingdom.
Currency of Transactions Accepted
At present Open The Envelope! only accept the British pound.

Open The Envelope! is committed to protecting the privacy of anyone using our site and the confidentiality of any information that is provided to us. The purpose of this statement is to set out how we use any personal information that we may obtain from you.

We are registered under the Data Protection Act and comply with the Act in all our dealings with your personal data.
Use and collection of personal information
In general you can visit our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. If, however, you wish to make a purchase online you will need to provide certain information such as your contact details for the purposes of processing your order.
We may additionally store this data and hold it on computer or otherwise for internal assessment and analysis to enable us to review, develop and improve our services. Your details will not be passed on to any third parties or used outside the offices of Open The Envelope!.
Cookies
To allow our website to keep track of and process any orders you create, a small data file containing an encrypted unique identifier is sent and stored by your computers' web browser in the form of a cookie. The cookies on our website do not collect any personal data about you and are used solely for the purposes of identifying you to our systems through the order process.
If you wish, you can usually adjust your browser so that your computer does not accept cookies but in order to make an online purchase with us you must have cookies enabled.
Please remember our cookies do not contain confidential information such as your home address, telephone number or credit card details. We do not exchange cookies with any third party websites or external data suppliers.

Open The Envelope! endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information you supply when placing an order, this includes the use of leading encryption technologies. However, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet we cannot guarantee that any information you disclose online will be free from unauthorised access by third parties. Your use of our website demonstrates your acceptance of this risk.
General
You have the right to see personal data (as defined under the Data Protection Act) that we keep about you upon receipt of a written request and payment of a fee of £10. Any requests should be sent to Open The Envelope! at this address.
Trade Accounts
If you desire to arrange a trade account with ourselves, this is something we are always happy to do, however we would need to look into where you are established as we do have several outlets and we do not wish to encourage unfair competition.
